Recording studio

November 2006 Activities

First, just want to thank all of you who prayed for us the last couple of days. It looks like it was some 24 hour flu bug as we are all OK today. It wasn't Dengue. Praise God. I came down with the bug myself yesterday and hadn't eaten with Pastor Damien or Israel so it wasn't food poisoning either. Whatever we are all fine. Pastor Damien has commitments with some of his churches today so we will leave first thing in the morning for Lachiguiri.
Our plan for Lachiguiri this next week will be to go over the Luke Cd's in Zapotec with the pastors. Also we will be recording one music Cd with Pastor Nely Dominguez and some children in Spanish. Pastor Nely has composed over 50 children's songs with motions etc that we can use for Children's Bible Clubs, puppet ministries and Sunday Schools.
We will start preparing the land we bought this week behind my house. We will clear the first level and see that it is flat. Then we will put up a temporary palm covering so we can have our first Pastor's Workshop for our Pastor's Bible College to be held the end of November. On our way up to Lachiguiri tomorrow we will stop in Juchitan and buy the acoustical foam for our temporay studio. This will be portable so we can move it when we decide to either buy the neighbor's land (he still hasn't made a decision about selling the land) We also need some microphone stands and I should be able to pick up a couple in Juchitan as they have a music store.
Then on the 7th and 8th of November, just a few days away our churches of Lachiguiri are having a city wide outreach with a famous evangelist, Josmar Flores from Bolivia. The churches have been fasting and praying over a year for this event. Please pray with us that God will use this outreach for the Glory of God in our village.
Then there is the Grand Fiesta Conference in La Ventosa that starts on the 16th of November. The Bible College Workshop is scheduled for the 27th of November through the 30th. A busy month ahead. We need strength and lots of prayers.
